Les volets Wu-Chronicles ressemble les collaborations les plus marquantes des membres du Wu-Tang Clan sur des albums ne faisant pas partis de la Famille agrèmenter de quelques raretés ou exclusivités de la Wu-Fam .

Sur ce premier volet des Wu-Chronicles ont peux retrouver les classiques " 4th Chamber " ou encore le remix de " Cold World " de Gza/Genius , " Wu-Gambinos " de Raekwon , " Right Back At You " de Mobb Deep avec Ghostface & Raekwon , " The What " avec le duo Notorious BIG/Method Man parmis d'autres titres tout aussi marquant ou presque .

En bref c'est pas de l'inédit mais cette compilation reste un bon petit cours de rattrapage pour les auditeurs .

" Wu-Chronicles Chapter II " reprends la même formule que son précèdant , c'est à dire des titres déjà vu ou entre apperçu sur certains albums comme le terrible " Above The Clouds " de Gang Starr et Inspectah Deck ou le déchainé " Hip Hop Fury " de Gza/Genius.

La compilation obtient un jolie score de démarrage aux USA pour un album underground lors de sa sortie sur Wu-Tang Records en 2001.

Voici un groupe que The Rza a crée en parallèle avec le Wu-Tang Clan . Le groupe est composé de Rzarector (Rza) , Prince Paul , Poetic et de Frukwan . Il participe à la naissance de l'horror core , style qui inspirera le rappeur/producteur Necro par la suite.
Les premières apparitions de Shabazz The Disciple et de Killah Priest ne passe pas innaperçu.

Produit dans la casi-totalité par Prince Paul plus deux/trois contribution de Rza à la prod ce premier album est un classique , il fut rééditer en 1997.

Wu-Tang Family / Gravediggaz : The Pick , The Sickle And The Shovel (1997)
Le Second album de Gravediggaz fait partis lui aussi partit des disques les plus marquants de la Wu-Fam . Le son est toujours sombre tout en restant très mélodieux jusqu'à atteindre la perfection sur " Unexplained " , " Fairytalez " ou encore " Pit Of Snakes ".

Les Wu-Elements sont réquisitionnés pour les instrumentaux : Tru Master , 4th Disciple , Goldfingaz , Darkim Allah appuyés par Rza et Poetic. 9th Prince de Killarmy, Shabazz The Disciple , Sunz Of Man et Killah Priest s'inscruste dans la liste des invités.

Un très bon album à se procurer !

Le dernier Gravediggaz auquel Rza participe mais aussi le dernier succès du groupe ...

C'est en 2003 que le membre et producteur du Wu-Tang Clan Rza fut réclamé par Quentin Tarantino pour le film Kill Bill avec Uma Turman .

Rza fit pour le film une selection de titres soul des années 60/70 en introduisants quelques raretés et produits de son crus .
